April 14, 2011: FCI Seminar with Ben Kirtman of RSMAS - University of Miami (in Tallahassee, FL)
Thursday, April 14th 2011 from 1-2PM, Ben Kirtman from RSMAS - University of Miami will be giving a seminar, titled "Impact of Ocean Model Resolution on CCSM Climate Simulations" at the FSU Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies, in room 220. Dr. Kirtman uses complex coupled ocean atmosphere general circulation models to investigate the predictability of the climate system on time scales from days-to-decades and to study the influence of tropical variability on mid-latitude predictability. The seminar will be broadcast live to the UF campus in Frazier Rogers Hall, Room 122.
